First Steps After Admission

Below is a checklist to begin your journey to join us.

Click the links on the left to get more information to complete the task.

Review Admission Letter

Read your acceptance letter from the Graduate Admissions Office.

Still have questions or undecided? Attend an Admitted Student Town Hall. These are hosted virtually with professors, current students, advisors, and student success team members all available to support you on your journey. See the dates and times

Is your residency status correct?  If incorrect, call 813-974-8800 or contact Graduate Admissions before registering.  If you wish to establish Florida residency, please read the General Classifications Procedures for more information.

All students must establish a NetID and designate their email address for all official USF internet communications. Your Net ID is also required to access the myUSF portal which includes a variety of on-line services and access to course materials.

If you haven’t already done this, please do so on this link. This will trigger an outreach from the Student Success team and your assigned Graduate Academic Advisor.

After you have completed these continue on to your Pre Arrival Tasks

or download this checklist for your use.
