Graduates of the doctoral program will be qualified to conduct fundamental and applied research in identification, evaluation and prevention of tropical and communicable diseases. The global communicable disease (GCD) PhD program encompasses a wide variety of research interests. Faculty research areas—and research areas available for PhD research and training—include genomics, molecular parasitology and infectious disease ecology.
